DESCRIPTION:The Mitchell Republic invites community members to attend Moving Mitchell Forward\, an evening designed to bring people together for meaningful conversation about the future of Mitchell. This free event will take place on Thursday\, February 12\, 2026\, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Palace City Brewing in Mitchell\, South Dakota.\n\nThe event will feature a three-part speaker panel with local voices from education\, business\, and local government. Panelists will share insights\, perspectives\, and ideas centered on how Mitchell can continue to grow and move forward as a community.\n\n\n\n\n\nEducation panel speakers: \n\n\n	Joe Childs\, Mitchell School District superintendent \n	Dan Kittle\, Dakota Wesleyan University president \n	Theresa Kriese\, Mitchell Technical College president\n\n\nBusiness panel speakers: \n\n\n	Mike Lauritsen\, Mitchell Area Chamber and Development Corporation CEO \n	Austen Iverson\, Owner of Iverson Auto Group\n	Brett Farnham\, Owner of Palace City Brewing and Dental Designs\n\n\nLocal government panel speakers: \n\n\n	Jordan Hanson\, Mitchell mayor\n	Tim Goldammer\, Mitchell city council member\n	Randy Reider\, Davison County Commission chair \n\n\nThe event is free to attend and open to the public\, and a food truck is expected to be outside the facility.
