First Dakota National Bank is hiring a full-time Wealth & Trust Officer to join our Mitchell team. This person will direct and coordinate activities relative to selling and administering investment agency, IRA, trusts, probate estates and court ordered conservatorships.
Duties
Solicits business from potential clients
Develops contacts with spheres of influence including but not limited to bank personnel, legal and accounting professionals for client referrals
Interviews clients to determine financial position and goals, resources, assets available to invest, and estate planning needs
Prepares/presents proposals to clients for solving investment needs
Coordinates establishment of client’s estate plan with client’s legal and accounting professionals
Determines investment strategies for various fiduciary and investment account needs
Initiates/manages the investment of accounts according to department investment policy and approved products
Ensures accounts are invested according to specific account investment expectations
Meets with clients periodically for investment and administrative reviews
Serves as a participating member of the Asset Review Committee
Prepares annual account reviews for presentation to Account Review Committee
Coordinates administrative functions, including but not limited to collection of assets, distributions, tax preparation, legal filings, real property management and file documentation
Develops understanding of trust operating system to ensure proper file administration, documentation and client communications
Maintains current regulatory competencies in estate planning, probate and trust investing
Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S) from four-year college or university
5 years related experience and/or training
Preferred candidate will possess JD, CPA, CTFA, or CFP designation
